Since October 2004, Hope for Henry has provided nearly 1,000 children, ages 1-21, with a choice of brand-new, high-end portable electronic toys like iPods, DVD players and digital cameras to entertain them, improve their ability to cope, and provide them with an important diversion while they fight to get better.”

A diagnosis of cancer or other life-threatening illness brings with it a significant disruption to a child’s day-to-day life. School, sports, summer camp, and other activities are replaced by long, isolating hospitalizations and painful medical procedures that are a necessity on the road to recovery.

To break down feelings of fear and loneliness and the monotony of the hospital stay, Hope for Henry gives these children gifts including iPods, portable DVD players and gaming systems, and digital cameras.
