Our Impact.

Since 2003, Hope for Henry’s comprehensive, year-round program has served more than 60,000 kids at hospitals across the country.

Hope for Henry is committed to excellence. Feedback on our incentive programs consistently point to their positive impact on patients’ ability to cope, improved sense of control, and increased adherence with medical procedures and protocols. This is good for the child and the child’s family, as well as for the hospital whose improved efficiency leads to cost savings.

While we like to say that we measure our successes in smiles—and we’ve observed too many of those to count—we are also committed to obtaining more precise measurements of our impact on the patients we serve. To that end, we have engaged renowned researchers at Lurie Children’s Hospital and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore to conduct quantitative studies to measure and document program impact. Additionally, Hope for Henry’s child life specialists are on the front lines of all of our programming and provide feedback on a regular basis. Finally, we have created a number of advisory groups to Hope for Henry comprised of representatives from critical stakeholder groups, including our Child Life Team of Innovators, the Hope for Henry Parent Advisory Council, and the Hope for Henry Patient Advisory Council/International Child Advocacy Network DC Chapter. We rely heavily on their input as we improve existing programming and develop new programs.
